Military General Service 1793-1814, 2 clasps, Martinique, Guadaloupe (George Graydon, Capt. R. Engs.) nearly extremely fine and rare £1600-1800

Captain George Graydon was at the capture of Martinique, in 1809, and Guadaloupe, in 1810, on each of which occasions he was the senior officer of Royal Engineers serving with a Division of the Army. Only three Royal Engineer officers received these two clasps. Graydon was subsequently appointed a Knight of Hanover and became Colonel on 1 April 1846, in which rank he died in 1852.
