MILITARY MEDAL, G.V.R. (37034 Sjt., R.F.A.) small official correction to number, 1914 MONS STAR (Dvr., R.F.A.); BRITISH WAR AND VICTORY MEDALS (Sjt., R.A.) mounted as worn, contact marks, nearly very fine (4)

M.M., London Gazette, 29 August, 1918. Extracts from the War Diaries show that Sergeant Breakspear served with 'B' battery, 307 Brigade and was awarded the Military Medal 'for gallantry in action on 21st March 1918 and operations thereafter.' Breakspear, from Westcliffe-on-Sea, was discharged on 20 January 1919, as a result of wounds.
