(John) Henry Sibold was born in Swartzburg, Saxony, in 1784, and enlisted as a Musician at Croydon in June 1803. He was present at Waterloo as the Trumpeter of Captain Cheney's troop. Sibold was discharged to pension at Chelsea Hospital in October 1821, in consequence of 'being unfit for further service having been frequently subject to sore legs.
