WATERLOO 1815 (James Cruickshanks, 1st Bat. 92nd Highlanders) fitted with replacement silver bar suspender, edge bruises and contact marks, therefore good fine and better

James Cruickshanks was born in Deck in the County of Nairn and enlisted for the 92nd at Inverness in 1812, aged eighteen years. He was present at the battle of Waterloo where he fought in Captain Angus Fraser's Company. From June 1819 until May 1827 he served in the West Indies, being promoted Corporal in September 1819 and Sergeant in November 1823. He was discharged at Dublin on 7 September, 1831 with 25 years service. Sold with copy discharge papers.
