MILITARY GENERAL SERVICE 1793-1814, 1 clasp, Chrystler's Farm (Thos. Ward, Serjt. 89th Foot) small edge bruise, otherwise very fine and scarce

Confirmed on Mullen's roll and also shown as entitled to the medal for Ava. The 2nd battalion 89th Regiment arrived in Canada in October 1812, and from June 1813 was employed in active operations against the Americans, including the action at Chrystler's Farm, and in subsequent fighting until peace was concluded early in 1815.
