W. Allen sale, SCA34, lot 119, lists a specimen countermarked A. STEVEN & SONS, PORT GLASGOW, around 4/6 (Seaby ST.91 and CD.87; Davis 78), noted as withdrawn in September 1816. A mainland Spain, rather than Spanish-American, hoast is unusual (represented in neither the Lingford nor Allen sales) and the date 1814 is late.
