Ivor Ballantyne Evans was born on 13 January 1893, and educated at Felsted. He served with the Manchester Regiment in Salonika from November 1915, was promoted to Lieutenant in February 1916, and attached to 5th Royal Irish Regiment from July 1916. In October 1917, he was appointed to the 1/5th Light Infantry, a regiment that had mutinied at Singapore in 1915. Sold with further research.
