Rueben Knight was born in the Parish of St Mary’s, Leicester, and enlisted for the Leicestershire Regiment at Leicester on 24 June 1884. He transferred to the 1st Derby Regiment in December 1884, and was posted to the 2nd Battalion in January 1887. He served in the Sikkim Expedition of 1888, and was discharged on 23 June 1896. Sold with copy discharge papers.
