Awarded for Operation ‘Amherst’ when 700 men from British and French Squadrons dropped behind enemy lines in 19 separate areas, on 6th April 1945, to disrupt their rear areas in Northern Holland. Sold with further details including a page copied from 'Pegasus' journal where Trooper Backhouse appears in a group photograph.
