QUEEN'S SUDAN 1896 (Cpl.); QUEEN'S SOUTH AFRICA 1899-1902, 2 clasps, C.C., S.A.1902 (Sergt); ROYAL VICTORIAN MEDAL, V.R., silver with second award bar, dated 'May 1910'; CORONATION 1911, named (C.S.I.M., King's Coy); LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT, G.V.R. (C.Sjt. I of M): KHEDIVE'S SUDAN 1896-98, 1 clasp, Khartoum (Corpl.), the group on a contemporary bar, as worn, the obverses of the medals heavily polished, the reverses generally very fine (6)

Raymond Gache was awarded the R.V.M. (silver) as a member of the Queen's Company, Grenadier Guards, who stood vigil at the private lying-in-state of Queen Victoria at Osborne House. He was awarded the bar to the R.V.M. (silver) for similar service during the lying-instate of King Edward VII in 1910 at Buckingham Palace.
