BOARD OF TRADE SEA GALLANTRY MEDAL, E.VII.R., bronze, second small type (John House 'Luddick' 25 March 1908), very fine and scarce

‘John House, Chief Boatman of Coast Guard, Bridge of Don, together with William Hodge, Chief Officer, rescued one of the crew of the 'Luddick,' of Aberdeen, who was washed out of the breeches buoy when being landed by the 'Bridge of Don L.S.A.Co,' from that vessel near Bridge of Don, 25 March 1908. Bronze Gallantry Medal and £2 each.’
