TURKISH MEDAL FOR THE DEFENCE OF SILISTRIA 1854, silver with rings for suspension, very fine and scarce

Awarded for the defence of the fortress at Silistria when from 19th May until 22nd June, 1854, the Turkish garrison was surrounded by an overwhelming force of Russians under Prince Paskievitch.
