Harry Sleigh was born in Heaton Cross, Stockport, Cheshire on 23 December 1908. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the Manchester Regiment in 1927. Served in India, February 1930-October 1932 and Cyprus, October 1932-January 1934. Transferred to Class ‘B’ Army Reserve in July 1934 and discharged on completion of his service on 14 July 1929. With copied service papers.
