William Foley was born in Penn Carr, Cardiff in 1872. He attested for the Militia Reserve in 1895. Served in South Africa with the 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, February 1900-April 1902 and was awarded the Queen’s medal with five clasps and the King’s medal with two. With some copied research.
