Military General Service 1793-1814, 6 clasps, Vimiera, Corunna, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Nivelle, Orthes (Thos. Day, Serjt. 82nd Foot) with good length of original ribbon in its named card box of issue, the box somewhat damaged, otherwise extremely fine £2000-2600

Also sold with a manuscript note of his ‘Claim for a Medal’ which additionally lists the clasp for ‘Roleia’ which was not allowed, the note much folded and separated in parts. This is a unique combination of clasps to the 82nd. Sergeant Thomas Day was discharged to Kilmainham Hospital for pension due to chronic rheumatism.
