Hogarth served as an Observer in the Fleet Air Arm.
Howard Edgar Feasey was killed in action in Italy on 20 February 1944, aged 21 years, while serving in the 1/4th Battalion, Hampshire Regiment. The son of William and Kathleen Feasey of Erdington, Birmingham, he was buried in Minturno War Cemetery, near Naples.
