Duncan Irvine Robertson was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in May 1912 and was employed as a Salesman at the time of his enlistment in the South African Tank Corps in the summer of 1940. Transferring to the South African Air Force in July 1941, he qualified as a pilot in June 1942 and served in 17, 25, 28 and 62 Squadrons, initially in Aden but afterwards as part of the Balkan Air Force, from July 1944 to February 1945. He was released from service in November 1945; sold with copied service record.
