William Henry Hill was born in St. Augustine’s, Liverpool and enlisted at Birkenhead, Cheshire. Serving in the 1/4th Battalion Cheshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 31 July 1918 and buried in the Raperie British Cemetery, Villemontoire. He was the son of William Hill, of 11 Ashville Road, Seacombe, Cheshire.
