B.E.M. London Gazette 19 June 1947. ‘Ivor Owen Mordecai, Setter-up, Powell Duffryn Ltd.’

Ivor Owen Mordecai lived in Abercwmboi, Aberdare, and worked in the Tredomen Engineering Works (Powell Duffryn Ltd.), Ystrad Mynach, near Hengoed - the factory produced bomb casings for the Ministry of Supply.

With named Buckingham Palace slip regretting that the King was unable to personally present the award; a letter from Sir George Turner, K.C.B., of Shell Mex House, W.C.1, notifying Mordecai of his award and a letter of congratulations from the Tredomen Office. Also with copied gazette extract.
