David James Jones enlisted at Winnipeg on 2 March 1916. Originally served with the 184th Battalion, then the 16th Battalion. Served in France, 12 January-13 May 1917 and 24 November 1917-8 May 1918; served with the 1st Battalion Canadian Machine Gun Corps, 7 May 1918-25 March 1919. With 184th Battalion badge, 16th Battalion badge, Canadian M.G.C. badge (2) and ‘Service at the Front’ lapel badge; also with copied research.
