Portugal, La Thesouraria Geral do Contracto do Sabio, 4,800-Reis, issued at Lisbon, 1 May 1840, uniface black on white note printed on watermarked paper, with two cherubs at upper centre (Pick S291). Slight edge damage at upper left and small hole in border at top, otherwise very fine or better, rare (£350-400)
