Victory Medal 1914-19 (3422 Pte. E. T. Hancock, 7 L.H.R. A.I.F.) very fine £80-100

Edward Terence Handcock was born near Wellington, New Zealand. A Cellar Hand by occupation, he attested for the Australian Imperial Force on 5 March 1917 and was posted to the 29/7th Light Horse Regiment. He embarked at Sydney on the Kyarra on 3 September 1917. Landing in Egypt in October 1917 he was taken on to the strength of the 2nd Light Horse Regiment in December 1917 and the 7th Light Horse in February 1918. In hospital July-August 1918 suffering from malaria, rejoining his unit later in the year. Discharged on 18 September 1919; he died on 22 April 1968. With copied service papers.
