John Turner was born at Oldham, Lancaster, in 1790. A Weaver by trade he enlisted at Halifax on 10 January 1807, aged 17 years. Suffering from asthma he was discharged on pension in London on 21 May 1828, and was still alive in June 1874 when his pension was increased to 1s 6d per day. Sold with copy discharge papers and roll extract.
