Five: Warrant Officer Class II J. E. Tolley, Suffolk Regiment

General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Palestine 1945-48 (5831839 Sgt. C. Mead, Suffolk) this with minor contact marks, good very fine (6) £90-120

Jack Tolley served with the Suffolk Regiment c.1922 to c.1946. Believed to have served with the 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment as a part of the B.E.F. in France and evacuation from Dunkirk in 1940. Was R.Q.M.S. with the 1st Battalion during D-Day, 6 June 1944. With some copied service details; two copied group photographs featuring Tolley and the booklet 1 Suffolk and D-Day, by Eric Lummis.
