Jean Aitken Bell was a Nurse who served with the Scottish Women’s Hospital during July-November 1915. The award of the Cross of Mercy is recorded in FO 372/1162. She was serving with the Second Serbian Unit. Her home address was North End, Thornton, Fife. The R.C.N. Journal of 11 July 1914 shows her at the Glasgow Maternity Hospital.
