Albert Hardess was born in and enlisted at Cardiff. Initially served in the Glamorganshire Yeomanry. Later with the 2nd Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers, he died of wounds on 13 September 1918, aged 20 years. He was buried in the Varennes Military Cemetery. He was the son of Mr and Mrs W. H. Hardess, of Cardiff. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
