Frederick Culley was born in and enlisted at Grantham. Serving as a Serjeant with “C” Company, 1/4th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, 13 October 1915, aged 23 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. He was the son of Frederick Culley, of 47 Harrowby Road, Grantham, and the late Alice Culley.
