Edwin Mundella Fisher was born in Ipswich and enlisted at Colchester. Serving with the 1/5th Battalion Essex Regiment, he entered the Balkan theatre of war on 9 August 1915. He died in Egypt on 6 January 1916, aged 22 years. He was the son of Edwin and Jane S. Fisher, of 35 Wickham Road, Colchester. With a small photograph of the recipient and with copied research.
