Private Henry J. Stokes, 2nd Battalion Middlesex Regiment, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 7 November 1914. Later served in the 1/5th Buffs. With copied m.i.c. which bears the comment ‘Deserted 2.6.15. 14 Star. Remarks deleted & Star issued.’
