M.M. London Gazette 3 January 1920. ‘... for bravery in the Field, with British Forces in North Russia [Murmansk Command]’ ‘11420 Sjt. Berridge, A., No. 1 Spec. Coy. [King’s Royal Rifle Corps] (Glossop)’.

Private Ambrose Berridge, 2nd Battalion King’s Royal Rifle Corps, entered France on 13 August 1914. Later served with the 4th and 8th Battalions before going to North Russia with No.1 Special Company K.R.R.C. Serving with ‘Syren’ Force, Murmansk, where he earned the Military Medal for bravery in action.

Berridge was later a Chelsea Pensioner and died on 21 April 1976.
