A French silver mounted hanger, the slightly curved 54cm blade with wide central groove, fluted ebony grip, silver cross guard and distinctive ‘bucket’ shaped pommel, silversmith’s mark for Louis-Pierre Favier, Paris charge and discharge marks for 1775-81, minor wear otherwise good condition, lacking scabbard £100-150
