An unusual 1821 pattern light cavalry officer’s sword, the plain straight 85cm blade by A.C.F.A. & Sons, Bhera, struck with the makers details at the forte otherwise completely undecorated, wide single fuller, back-edged and spear-pointed, regulation steel three bar guard, plain domed pommel, backstrap chequered for half its length, wood grip covered with polished brown leather, bound with silver wire, complete with its wood scabbard covered with dark brown leather, steel throat and large steel chape, although plain a good quality sword and unusually locally made, good condition overall
