Believed to be brothers.

John Jenkins was born in Llantwit, Glamorganshire. A Fitter by occupation, he attested for the Grenadier Guards at Pontypridd on 2 March 1892, aged 24 years, 7 months. Transferred to the Army Reserve in March 1895, he was recalled to the Colours in December 1899. With the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards he served in South Africa, March 1900-July 1902. Transferred to the Reserve once more in March 1903, he was discharged on 1 March 1904. On his papers his next-of-kin was listed as his father- Mr Daniel Jenkins, of 32 Robert Street, Ynysybwl. John Jenkins, of 50 Brithwenydd Road, Trealaw, Glamorgan, died on 2 January 1936. With copied service papers and roll extracts.
