Pair: Private T. Walls, 46th Regiment

Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (2540 Private, 46 Reg.) engraved naming; Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue (No 2541 T. Walls, 46 Regt.) engraved naming, pierced with ring and ornate straight bar suspension, first medal with edge bruising and contact marks, nearly very fine and better (2) £220-260

Thomas Walls was born in Moneymore, Co. Londonderry. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the 6th Regiment at Millbrook, Co. Londonderry on 11 July 1846. He transferred to the 46th Regiment in August 1848. With the regiment he served 1 year 7 months in the Crimea, 2 years four months in Corfu and 10 years 1 month in the East Indies. He was discharged at his own request having served over 21 years, at Portsmouth on 21 June 1869. Entitled to an Army L.S. & G.C. With copied service papers.
