Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Defence of Ladysmith, Orange Free State, Transvaal (3451 Pte. J. Moore, 11th Hussars) edge bruising, contact marks, good fine £80-100

John Moore was born in Hackney, London. A Porter by occupation, he attested for the cavalry at London on 1 February 1892, aged 20 years, 4 months. Posted to the 11th Hussars, he served in India, September 1892-October 1899 and South Africa, October 1899-August 1902. Discharged on 31 January 1913 at the termination of his second period of engagement. With copied service papers and roll extracts. Also entitled to the India General Service Medal with clasp for Punjab Frontier 1897-98 and the King’s South Africa Medal with two clasps.
