Richard II (1377-1399), Noble, London, type IIIb, mm. cross pattée on rev. only, nothing over sail, ropes 3-1, quatrefoils 4-4, lis on rudder, r in centre of rev. (this double-punched), reads avte, double saltire stops, 7.72g/6h (SCBI Schneider 171-2; N 1303; S 1657). A little weak on King’s face, otherwise nearly extremely fine £2,000-2,600
