Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Gp C, mm. rose, plume above shield, small bust, 2.68g/1h (SCBI Brooker 602; N 2239; S 2810). A little creased, otherwise better than fine and rare, but perhaps drilled or tooled in the reverse legend £100-150

The vendor’s paperwork mentions a group of four stops before the reverse mintmark. The field seems to have been worked or drilled in this area creating the impression, deliberate or otherwise, of four stops when only one was originally present
