Charles I, 1648, a heart-shaped memorial silver locket, heart pierced by two arrows, i live and dy in loyaltye above, rev. quis temperit a lacrymis january 30th 1648 above a weeping eye, the inside revealing a small oval badge of Charles I facing left, opposite prepared be to follow me c r, 20 x 19mm, 3.16g (cf. MI I, 366/248-9; Platt p.295; cf. Baldwin 69, 4; cf. Foley 339). About extremely fine and attractively toned, a charming piece, very rare £800-1,000
