William III (1694-1702), Proof Halfpenny, 1696, type I, in silver, reads mag br, edge grained, 6.40g/12h (S 6598; DF 499; KM. 110a; cf. LaRiviere 187, same obv. die). From the obverse die in early state with minor trace of a flaw below the tie-ribbons, good fine and toned, very rare £800-1,200
