Charles II (1649-1685), First coinage, Merk, 1669, type II, leaved thistle below bust, reads dei :, no stop after hib, colon after date, 6.08g/3h (D 20; M 16; SCBI 35, 1579; B 5; S 5611; KM. 102.1). Some blank filing on obverse, with corresponding weakness in centre of reverse, die crack below 69 of date, otherwise very fine £200-300
