Waterloo 1815 (James Curby, 10th Royal Reg. Hussars.) neatly plugged at 12 o’clock and fitted with replacement steel clip and ring suspension, edge bruising and contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine £1400-1600

Ex Grey Collection 1908. First recorded at Sotheby’s in March 1888.

James Curby (also shown as Carby and Corby) enlisted into the 10th Light Dragoons on 22 June 1809. He served in Brevet Major Taylor's number 2 troop at Waterloo and was discharged on 31 March 1817. Sold with copied pay lists and regimental medal roll for Waterloo.
