Private George Abel Thompson, 1/8th Battalion Manchester Regiment, died of wounds, France/Flanders, on 4 September 1918, aged 21 years. He was buried in the St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen. He was the son of Martha Etchell (formerly Thompson), of 93 Casson St., Gorton, Manchester. With damaged commemorative scroll, a postcard photograph of his headstone and copied casualty details - some papers give his battalion number as 1/6th battalion.

Richard Overton Gibbon was born in Stockton-on-Tees and lived at Thornaby-on-Tees, Co. Durham. He entered into the France/Flanders theatre of war with the Rifle Brigade on 1 June 1915. Serving with the 8th Battalion, he died of wounds on 2 September 1918, aged 25 years. He was buried in the Bois Guillaume Communal Cemetery Extension. He was the son of Mary Ann and the late Samuel Gibbon, of Thornaby-on-Tees. With copied m.i.c., death certificate and casualty details.
