David George Morgan was born in London, lived in Grays, Essex and enlisted at Stratford, London. Serving in the 11th Battalion Liverpool Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 22 June 1915. He was killed in action on 23 March 1918 - the first day of the German Spring Offensive 1918. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial.
