Alfred Edgar Burgess was born in and enlisted at Leicester. As a Lance-Corporal in the 3rd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 10 April 1918, during German Spring Offensive. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial. With copied casualty details.
