Sidney Bernard Simmons lived in Stoke Newington. Serving in the 7th (City of London) Battalion London Regiment, he entered France on 18 March 1915. He was killed in action on the first day of the battle of Loos, 25 September 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. With Artists Rifles cap badge, brass 7th City of London sweetheart brooch and a general service button; together with copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
