Private Charles Stanford, 2nd Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 23 August 1914. Later transferred to the 3rd Battalion Scottish Rifles then to the Labour Corps. He was discharged from the Royal Engineers on 12 February 1919 due to sickness and was awarded the Silver War Badge (not with lot). With copied roll extract and m.i.c. - clasp not confirmed.
