Private Henry Stevenson, 15th Hussars, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 16 August 1914. He served with ‘B’ Squadron and was attached as divisional cavalry to Monro’s 2nd Army Division, Haig’s I Army Corps. There was early contact with German outposts at the river bridge at Maroilles on 25 August 1914. Stevenson later transferred to the Corps of Hussars. To Class ‘B’ Reserve in April 1919. With copied m.i.c. - clasp confirmed.
