With a copied newspaper extract listing Chinese Orders for which the King has given unrestricted permission to wear, dated the War Office, 17 February 1920. Under the Order of Wen-Hu (Striped Tiger) 5th Class, two names are underlined, ‘Acting Captain C. W. Knott, Labour Corps’ and ‘Temporary 2nd Lieutenant A. C. Medlock, Labour Corps’. It is possible that one of those highlighted was the recipient.
