Jeffery Airey was born in Liverpool. He enlisted into the 44th Battalion at Winnipeg on 19 April 1915. He arrived in England in October 1915 and was taken on to the strength of the 27th Battalion Canadian Infantry, entering France in April 1916. He was killed in action on 8 July 1917 and was buried in the Fosse 10 Communal Cemetery at Sains-en-Gohelle. With copied service papers.

John Henry Burke was born in Liverpool on 14 August 1894. He enlisted at Niagara Falls, Ontario on 23 January 1918, serving with the 8th Reserve Battalion. Proceeding to France, he was killed in action on 27 September 1918 whilst serving with the 102nd Battalion Canadian Infantry (2nd Central Ontario Regiment). He was buried in the Anneux British Cemetery, S.W. of Cambrai. The report on his death states, ‘He was killed by enemy shell fire, while standing on top of a dugout, west of Bourlon Wood.’ With Statement of Service and copied service papers.
