Serjeant Andrew Ross, 1st Battalion Otago Regiment, N.Z.E.F., was killed in action, France, on 29 July 1916. He was buried in the Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, Nord, France. He was the son of James and Margaret Ross, of 82 Cowgate Street, Kirkintilloch, Glasgow.
